Mizuko (Mimi) Ito, Research Scientist at the Annenberg Center for Communication, is conducting a survey as part of her research about new creative practices using digital technologies.
Here is her introduction:
----------------------------
Can you help us with a study on new creative practices using digital technologies? We are doing a survey of members and visitors to animemusicvideos.org. You can get to the survey by following this link:
http://survey-dy.annenberg.edu/cgi-bin/rws3.pl?FORM=amv
Participation is voluntary, and you should feel free to leave any questions blank which are inapplicable or that you do not want to answer. We will not collect any personally identifying information in this survey, so your responses will remain anonymous. It should take about 15 minutes. We ask about things such as how often you watch AMVs, how you find AMVs, and what types of programs you use to watch them.
This survey is part of a research project conducted at the University of Southern Callifornia. Our goal is to understand the creative work and communication that goes into the making of AMVs. We are also involved in considering new technologies and media sharing formats to support communities like animemusicvideos.org, and are organizing an event on DIY media. Earlier this year we did a trial run: http://netpublics.annenberg.edu/about_n ... pril_28_29
We are also looking for amv creators and viewers to interview for this study. Please email us at dkids@annenberg.edu if you might be interested in talking to us about AMVs, and we can send you more information.
If you have any questions about this survey or this research, feel free to contact me (the principal investigator for the project): mito@annenberg.edu , http://www.itofisher.com/mito, http://mimiito.livejournal.com, 213-743-1919.
