AMVs known for only using fansubed anime out there.

Post by x_rex30 » Sun Sep 17, 2006 7:05 pm

Naruto, Bleach, FMA.. I'm looking for AMVs outthere that use these anime that don't look like they've used downloaded sources. Even though they have a dvd box set out for Naruto I don't think many people would want to make an amv to naruto that only used sources from the first 13 episodes. Every naruto video I've watched especially bleach ones do not look that good. Know of any amvs using these anime that you can tell used the dvd source footage and looks good? I'm mainly in seeing Naruto and Bleach ones.. the entire series of full metal alchemist is already out in the US and I'm dead scared of running into spoilers so I don't plan on watching many from that series.. maybe once I get through the series.. the reason I asked about that one is because pretty much every full metal alchemist amv I've seen look like shit.. and I know you can achieve very nice quality with the DVDs since I've seen the quality of it on DVD and it's really nice. Anyway if anyone could give a heads up that would be nice. thanks.

wait... are you looking for amvs that use "fansubbed footage" or ones that use DVD footage?

O.o

or just amvs of naruto and bleach that dont look like shit... i mean aside from wotb... :/ (as i tend to avoid these series for the most part, cause i cant get into their amvs having not seen either series... wotb is like the only one i can think of :/ heh)

or just amvs in general that dont use a DVD source but dont look like complete crap...

OK. There are specific series out there.. mainly ones not licensed or ones that are just coming out in the US that don't bother using Region 2 DVD source footage for their video. I'm looking for videos that use those type of series and go out of their way to use the region 2 source footage instead of the fansub footage. This doesn't really count for FMA because all the DVDs are out in the US. I mention FMA because all the videos I see using that use fansubs.

soo.. what exactly is is that you're asking for?

I know that there are a few Naruto videos that used the R2s. Also, with a lot of fansubs, the raws are being supplied in HD form. the new .Hack for example looks BETTER than dvd to me.

So, are you asking for only videos that have exclusively used fansub stuff, or videos that have not used it? Or something else entirely?
Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

I bought Bleach DVDs 5-15 when i was in Tokyo back in June (then resold them to Melanchthon after i ripped the vobs), but the 3 videos i'm doing with them won't be out for a while. I'll make sure to let you know when they are though...

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks.

This one I believe uses bootleg footage as well..

I'm not quite sure if that counts. I've seen the quality of some hong kong bootlegs.. If it's Naruto I'm sure it has degraded quality. I've seen CB and Gundam Wing bootlegs before.. they degrade the quality quite a bit.
