Dance music video...

Post by Thrior » Sat Sep 16, 2006 5:22 pm

Yup. My 4th... Finally got it finished but not in a way I wanted and I'll some day re-do this.

Anyways...
Anime: DB/DBZ
Song: Stomp to my beat
Artist: DDR

I think that the best thing about this video is that it shows a lot those rare Piccolo vs Goku scenes from Dragon Ball. In overall...I'm pretty proud of this... except I hate the part I had to do with Movie Maker -_-.

Still... I would like to have some opinions/comments about this.

all right, I'm a fan of dance vids so I watched it.

Upsides:
1. The sync is ok, the scene choices didn't get redundant.
2. The special effects were timed well.
3. Original song / anime combination I suppose (Plus you focused on Piccolo instead of being random).

Downsides:
1. Your source footages were of different sizes... the black bars on the left and right of the video dissappeared and reappeared at times. Expand your source footage to make them all look the same size. There was divx logos... Make sure your using the whole video portion. Your fade to whites extended past the video cuttoff making it look a little weird.
2. The special effects got redundant, be more creative with them next time.
3. The bitrate was low, use the 100mb file limitation to the fullest way possible and maximize your video quality.

Anyways those were my first impression remarks. The amv is average to me.
"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

Yeah... that's a problem. I use Pinnacle Studio and this version doesn't recognize DivX videos so I always have to convert them to AVI or MPEG using one other program. And that program leaves those black bars to most videoclips and I can do nothing about it.

Anyways... thanks for the comment.
