hello~
In premiere 6.5 how do get this sort image:
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/qwe ... /sepia.jpg
Picture take from (tash-serious experience). I believe its called "sepia", i tried searching through premiere but no luck
Second question is how can i get an image like this:
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/qwe ... bn/a-1.jpg
(picture from Sierra Lorna-In My Mind)
This is one that i made:

However take a look in the red circle in the first image. See the edges on the first image looks more like its fading with the image behind it, however if you look at the edges in the one that i made, it looks more
"direct" or "stands out" more (hope i described it ok).

As far as I know there is no direct filter that produces a sepia image in premiere. However you can just alter the colour properties (I forget exactly where it is in 6.5 but it should be called some thing like Hue/saturation or something similar).
With the second one I assume you made a black and white image and used that in track matte. To get it to be smoother you just need to increase the gradation in the b/w image. ie. make it fade from white to black over a larger area.

i got the sepia one working, yeh it was under the quick time effects. However im still having some trouble with image matte. What i dont understand how to do is
"make it fade from white to black over a larger area."
i was thinking of reducing the opacity then as you go more into the white area keep the opacity at 100? thats just a thought, i dont really have an idea on how to do it though ><

Your best bet is to PM Sierra Lorna and ask how the effect was done.

umm I'll try explaining what I mean, I may post a picture later if I get the chance.
Right so you've got an image you are using for the matte. The white in the image coresponds with what will be visible (100% opaque) and the black with what will be invisible (100% transparent). Various shades of grey will be various transparencies. For example 50% grey will be 50% transparent. So to increase the smoothness of the change you want a gradual change from black to white over a larger area.
Note: I'm talking from premiere pro I'm only guessing that 6.5 supports this as well.
