OMG!@Hardcoremaster:
I don´t really think, that this pack helps to use DivX and XviD files in Vegas. Why should it?
I worked with Vegas a long time and no avi (DIVX and XVID) worked in Vegas! I have installed Xvid and many other Codecs but it didn't work. Now I found the Tsunami Codec Pack and all AVI Files are working!
If you don't trust me than fuck up!
I thought that I can help people with this pack but if you don't trust me than fuck up!

There's reasons you shouldn't use that type of encoded video in editing software. Even if it works, you may experience all sorts of problems with errant frames, and a whole slew of issues on export.

Thx, I first thought, that your link is about using the "Bait and Switch" methode with .avs. Well it´s not and it works fine!

Sry to get off this topic thread, but I know, but don´t need it, because I´m one of those lucky guys with an high end pc. I prefer working with the full avs sources.

Re: Easy way to get XVID/DIVX working in Vegas!
There are many reasons why the people in this forum suggest re-encoding to huffyuv or lagarith instead of using xvid and dvix, and it usually has nothing to do with users having problems playing xvid or Divx footage within their editing app.Hardcoremaster wrote:You must not re-encode the file with any program!

What the hell is this shit? Not even encoders need 80% of what's in this pack.
Multiple versions of DivX made me lol too.
Get CCCP instead. You shouldn't be editing with XviD anyway. It's a distribution type codec, not an editing one.

7-zip // x264 (Sharktooth's builds) // XviD (Koepi's builds) // MP4box (celtic_druid's builds) // Firefox // CCCP
