LOL, main char is Inuyasha (guy with the big sword, wears fire rat kimono, silver hair, and the most KAWAII dog ears! ^_^) Naraku is the evil bad guy that we all love to hate -^.^- Miroku is the hentai monk, Sango is the demon exterminator, Shippou is the little kitsune boy, Kikyou is the dead bitch that tries to kill Inu, Sesshoumaru is his older brother, and Kagome is the whole reason the mess with the shikon shards being scattered all over the place hmmm, am I missing anything? *thinking cap* nope I think that’s all the char’s that are the shit ^_^ what else you wanna talk about? If you guys still don't get it; the main plot of the entire series is two things: putting the shikon jewel back together, and killing the evil Naraku.

Every single character has went through a tragedy, so some would have their own goals, but those two are the main ones that matter and affect the most.

Ok, another question, do you know anything of Inuyasha's past in the show? Or just BAM! Here's the main character and now let's pop in some bad guys for him to fight. I gawsh...I don't remember anything about it!

We get to see pieces of Inuyasha's past in bits and pieces, and sometimes things aren't really stated but more implied by the way people say things or how they dress. Like when we first saw Inuyasha's mom (who wasn't, really, but that's something else entirely). She wore very fancy, multi-layered kimonos and spoke very formally, indicating that she was of noble birth and upbringing. There's also an indication that she died when Inuyasha was very young.

It's things like that so you kinda have to pay close attention sometimes. And maybe know a few things about Japanese culture. *information overload*

Uhhhh...I just remembered that I was ACTUALLY thinking about Rurouni Kenshin, BUT DON'T WORRY! I HAVE SEEN SOME OF THIS SHOW AND I DID WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!

Okay, now it all makes sense. I *thought* your description sounded an awful lot like Rurouni Kenshin. And the mix up could easily happen after a long time not watching both shows and having watched them in the same time period. (Both feature a guy with a really oversized sword and a lot of action.)

There's a lot of anime out there with characters with crazy color hair but i think that InuYasha only has 3 main colors when it comes to hair:

Black
White
Bald!!!!

Guess Shippo's the exception with his orange hair. (I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be a swift fox. At least his coloring and that of his dad's seems to fit with that.)
