If you're getting [sic] "frusterated," you should read the site guides. They will answer all your questions, if you read them completely.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

Yes, because they are on different subjects. There would be no point in writing redundant guides. Anyway, try this thread, right at the top of the forum you posted in: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... hp?t=69573

The guides are all outdated and should be tanken down so people will stop saying "omg just read teh guides newb, here use THIS link if you cant find them on you own" If anyone that was telling people to read them would actualy read them themselvs they would know that, i spent months reading and rereading the before finding this thread http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... hp?t=69573

I say for now just read the JaddziaDax link

truthfully my method is probably outdated more than the guides, but then again i donno... i've never read the DVD ripping guides on the org, i donno how they compare to how i do things O.o... (and the way i do it takes alot of time, and alot of people dont have the patience for it...)

most people point to the guides on this site because its the "easy way out" to answer when someone has a question.. :/

they maybe "outdated" as you said, but then again there are many ways to make a vid, what the OP has to do is find one that works for them :/

(in truth it was made for a harry potter vidding community)

"Outdated" does not necessarily mean "useless", unless you are incapable of

(a) independent thought

(b) analysis and synthesis (which might be a valid excuse if you're, say, eight years old)

(c) information searching and filtering (no excuse here, what with Google and all)

If you do not possess sufficient proficiency in those three mental skills, then you probably shouldn't be doing things in a field that changes as quickly as amateur digital video.

One guide that still works pretty well: the theory parts of EADFAG are still applicable, and provide a nice foundation for going further. Once you understand that, the implemention of that theory makes a whole lot more sense. As a bonus, you can also more quickly adapt to new tools.
