you sent in a video format that wasnt in acceptable format from the website. I tried to fix this problem by multiplexing the 2 seperate files you uploaded but was never able to get it to work, thus you were disqualified.

I just noticed a significant oversight on the AWA Pro nominations website.
The list of videos does not include each video's ID number. Personally, I keep track of and nominate videos by number (NOT by name), as it's easier to keep a written record by ID number.
I can't nominate videos until ID numbers get listed, and I can only assume I'm not the only person who sees this as a problem.
I e-mailed Wayne at the address listed on the website, but seeing that he never once acknowledged problems I had a while ago, I'm not confident he'll acknowledge this issue without further prodding. (Maybe he will. Who knows.)
Edit: To clarify, I mean the ID numbers from the DVDs. The video entry number from the database won't be useful.

I swear I had posted this before, and if I did and it was deleted sorry about reposting.
For whatever reason I cannot access the voting section at awa-vat.com. I didn't see any note in my dvd mailer that told me where to go, nor did I get any kind of e-mail. Could someone send me a private msg or e-mail on what I'm doing wrong.
Edit: I did log in, went to contests, then 2006 pro, but I just get the contest info, nothing else.

jbone: I'm looking into getting this fixed. It might take a bit to re-jigger the database, but I'll get it reassembled ASAP.

I always end up having to eliminate a handful of those.Illia Sadri wrote:the categories this year.... someone is either bitter or very very creative.
Just so everyone remembers, I do not tolerate and will not hand out insulting awards. Further, everyone remember that you are not REQUIRED to nominate videos for a category. Peer participation at the nominations stage helps dictates which categories are accepted for final voting. For example, if there really weren't any Romance videos (I don't know, I haven't seen ANY of the vids yet), then I'll probably only get 5-10 people who nominated any vids for that category, while normal categories have a minimum of 30-45 people nominating a handful of vids each. Thus "Romance" would be dropped at the voting stage.

Sorry, running around putting out fires left and right. Nominations should be sorting by title now, and are annotated by Matt with video #.
Nomination page also lists audio/video source, in addition to video title. Hint hint. Print off a copy while you're waiting for your discs to arrive =)
Edit: I'm part of Matt's/Wayne's technical crew, and am currently handling technical issues with the website including the above. It's a new system, and while most of the bugs are likely hammered out there's always the possibility of finding more or tweaking the aesthetics. If there's anything else you notice and would like me to look at, PM me here or email at dhingbat AT gmail.com

I think someone was really bitter about the videos. I also know people will not have a clue which video I made this year. Which was basically my only goal.

Awesome, the numbers are listed. And the method of fixing looks better than re-jiggering the database.MCWagner wrote:jbone: I'm looking into getting this fixed. It might take a bit to re-jigger the database, but I'll get it reassembled ASAP.

I watched the videos before I ever looked at the website.kholaras wrote:Nomination page also lists audio/video source, in addition to video title. Hint hint. Print off a copy while you're waiting for your discs to arrive =)
