AWA PRO PROBLEMS

Post by MCWagner » Fri Aug 18, 2006 4:41 pm

No worries everyone, the discs have been sent out! (*Yaaaaayyyy*)

However, I need to make some announcements to all those participating in Pro. The tech problems put us so far behind schedule that we didn't have time to print up an info sheet to include in y'all's packets, so I'm posting it here where a lot of you should see it. (This will also be going out by e-mail, once I get a compiled list together.)

1) Deadlines: You will have two weeks, starting monday (21st) to get your nominations and category suggestions in. Nominations will be done via the awa-vat.com website (voting system being assembled now). Once nominations are finalized, the top contenders for each category will be assembled and opened for ONE WEEK of voting. The tech delays really pushed us to the limit this year, so everyone please get your voting in on time

2) Disc problem: One slight formatting glitch slipped through. On the second disc, the first video will not play if you push the "play all" button. This will be obvious, because its bumper, but not the video itself will play. It will play if you select it individually. Please be sure not to skip this video.

If there are any problems we were unaware of, please notify me in this thread and we'll see what we can do to tend to it.

Oh! And

3) Everyone remember that contestant participation (nominations) is one of the things that determines which new award categories stay and which go, so it's in y'all's best interests to a) get those newly suggested categories in early and b) check back at the site on occasion to see if any new categories have sprung up.

Woohoo! Something to look forward for in the mail. Now I will start my morning vigil of sitting and waiting for the mail for the next few days until it comes. (okay so I never wake up before 10:30 and the mail usually comes at 11-11:30, not much of a wait.)

And as long as the necessary info is printable I am sure most of us can manage.

*looking forward to seeing videos on boyfriend's new tv... bets hd will look nice*

you sent in a video format that wasnt in acceptable format from the website. I tried to fix this problem by multiplexing the 2 seperate files you uploaded but was never able to get it to work, thus you were disqualified.
