What format did you render your export as? It is generally recommended to export from Vegas (and any other editing software) as either uncompressed RGB, Huffyuv or Lagarith video AVI. Then use VirtualDub/Mod and XviD to compress the video. Using AviSynth at this point can also sometimes improve the video quality (unless you did a lot of pre-processing).

I gave you some links in the thread you made in the Audio Help forum, read up.

actually, that kinda knowledge is pretty basic...but on to your inquiries

VirtualDub(/Mod) is a free program that can open many different file types (.avi, .mpeg, .mpg, .mkv, .ogg and perhaps a few more) and is a popular tool used by many on this site.
it can be a powerful editing tool if used correctly, most people use it in conjunction with AviSynth (not so much of a program as a language) to prepare/clean up footage. It can also be used to compress video (and audio)

*there are two programs, one is the original (VirtualDub) and one has support of more filetypes (VirtualDubMod). virtualDub/Mod indicates that either version can be used (abbreviated vdub or vdubmod)

just to avoid confusion, Xvid is a codec (if you don't have it, I'd suggest getting it. it is one of the most popular codecs used for uploaded amvs)

this really isn't a rule, but try to use proper grammar. It makes things easier to read/understand
