Please Teacher, former #1 favorite anime of mine which I think could have originated from h-game "Onegai". Not sure as to finding out info on that but it's something...

I've Sound's first step into non-h-game music with their first opening intro to an anime in this one.. [yes, another Kotoko]

Kei Kusanagi is like a mildmannered wuss till he starts facing explosions from jealous little sister-in-law but in the end, this is one of those RESPECTABLE anime where the main guy isn't a dumbass who nosebleeds at the sight of nudity [well, there wasn't much nosebleeding in the entire series actually] and unlike other anime stupids, this man KNOWS the women he wants and with that he has my eternal respect. Morons like Tenchi Masaki and company need to be decisive, sheesh...

Even Akito Tenkawa of Nadesico could pick the good one as well!

the only anime I have ever seen that actually bests the manga (because the manga was based on the anime, which is usually the other way around, the manga is really poor)

Ok, I just finished watching this series. Literally, about 3 minutes ago.

I have never watched a show, anime or not, that has frustrated me more during the course of the series, than Onegai Teacher. Now that's not to say I disliked the show..... quite the contrary.

But seriously, how many times can you break up and cheat on your wife and then be taken back by her because you remembered how much you love her.

Then, THEN, in the last episode with the love hotel / castle / Disney Land, I don't know why but the amount of rage generated by the fact that Koishi and the airplane teacher doing... NO!!! WTF!!! That's SO wrong! At least Kei was technically an adult.

Then I SWEAR I was about to start taking shots everytime the word "standstill" was spoken, but I decided not as I don't really feel like experiencing alcohol poisoning.

Ok, I'm done venting. All in all, it was actually a pretty decent series. I can honestly say though I don't recall any show causing me to go into a swearing rage after watching every episode.

Technically, he wasn't cheating on the wife... But best kept secrets can require some rule bending.

Sheesh, Kei didn't even kiss Koishi though the idiot did come close...

And you're also forgetting the for better or for worse part of marriage...

At least they forgave each other but I knew Mizuho is the all-faithful type who r0x0rs... Love those big juicy curves...

Swearing at the end of each ep? Bleach did that for me... As well as quite a few other anime I DON'T like...

Most if not all other anime in existance [especially AMG TV... Man, I wonder if Keiichi really is just a 20+ year old kindergartener...] turn a to-be relationship into a "I must love her first" before approaching the sexual parts of it... COME ON, YOU KNOW IT, WE KNOW IT, YOU'RE IN LOVE WITH THE BABE DAMNIT!!! I mean, look at Akito, Tenchi, a few other harem types...

Sometimes, it's deadly obvious who they're going to end up with and they still behave like 4yr olds about it. Yeesh, why not involves cooties in the equation...

As far as Please Teacher goes, Keiichi is a MAN among anime boyscouts... He doesn't have to sex every girl in the anime like in a hentai but he CAN set an example that sex with your wife is what supposed to happen and you're supposed to show love in order to continue humanity. [or in this case, cross human/alien-relations ^_^]

Sex is great, but I'm not the kind of guy who respects scorecard playboys [though they're funny to watch in some hentai...] I'm married after all...

But yeah, until someone else decides to be mature about it, Please Teacher has the best use of sexual [if not the only use] relations in a non-hentai which should be respected and laughed alongside with...

The OVA is really off-tune with the rest of the show. It's like "Hey, I could've made this into a Hentai if I wanted but I chose not to". BTW, why do all these people have "Kei" in their names? Kei, Keichii, Keitaro, KeNtaro, Keima, etc... All in romantic comedy anime (except for Kentaro from Golden Boy, I still don't know what the hell category to put that in).

Who else thinks Mizuho's sister is way too sexually oriented for her age?
