MOSPEADA FTW.
It's an 80s vid, so I'm all over that shit.
The aspect ratio was wrong (it should be 4:3), you didn't crop the edges so you had annoying black letterboxing all around. You also had lousy compression, so on high action scenes you had macroblocking all over the place.
However, your synch was excellent, the song was appropriate (damn them hivian invid, they are like a disease, aren't they?) and the story was simple. It was enjoyable, and if you make a higher quality version it'll definitely be an above average action/fun video.
And it's from the 80s. I

well the small 51 MB file i put here is like i said the small one the big one is 724 MB (DVD) and i did not think a-m-v.org would like a 724 mb file being downloading off there site.. and what would you Compress the video with cause i used Vegas 6 to make the video and compressed it with using Windows movie maker cause thats all i had. now if you would like the full 724 mb file drop me a AIM. my name is SteamElite on that =)Kionon wrote:MOSPEADA FTW.

I have a wonderful quality mp4 on the org that is 52MB. The XviD version was 72MB. Trust me, you can still get good quality under the org's maximum submission size of 100MB. And yes, we wouldn't be fond of the 724MB version.Kogo wrote:well the small 51 MB file i put here is like i said the small one the big one is 724 MB (DVD) and i did not think a-m-v.org would like a 724 mb file being downloading off there site..
I would have exported from Vegas in a lossless codec like HuffYUV or Lagarith in an AVI container and then used virtualdubmod to create an XviD avi file, or x264 and mp4box to make an mp4 file. Both of which would be substantially higher quality with low filesizes.and what would you Compress the video with cause i used Vegas 6 to make the video and compressed it with using Windows movie maker cause thats all i had. now if you would like the full 724 mb file drop me a AIM. my name is SteamElite on that =)
DO NOT USE WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER LIKE YOU WOULD VIRTUALDUBMOD.
That is just silly. If you're using Vegas to edit, you should never ever ever need to touch Windows Movie Maker. Certainly not to prepare a distribution version of your video.

well i did what you said and well i am not happy with what i got.. Grated it was a bigger file and had great video and audio but it had little lines in it. the file is now a 80 MB file but .. well look for yourself..

the smaller 42/50 mb file did not have the lines in it and looked alot better.. BTW i got the white flashes cut back so it does not flash below the film.. =)
but this one is going on youtube cause it looks good smaller then full screen which this pic was taken in..

That is not a bug, it's a wordfilter. We don't like That Site.
Now the issue you're getting is called interlacing. Since there was no interlacing in the copy I saw, I assumed you knew how to get rid of it. For some reason, looks like WMM must have deinterlaced during compression for the copy you have up, but that seems really high level for windows movie maker.
Anyhow, it's a very easy fix. Since I can only assume you did not edit with AVS files, your only option here is to deinterlace post-process. In vdubmod do a few things. Go to video, filters, add:
1) deinterlace
2) crop (getting rid of those black lines)
3) resize to 640x480 (in the option box select lanczo3 and not nearest neighbor)
This should give you the quality I am talking about.

Oh, quickly, before I assume you know, do this with your LOSSLESS copy, don't do it with your FINAL copy. Recompressing after creating a lossy (Xvid most likely), is just silly. It will look much worse. Go back to your lossless export and apply these filters to create a new lossy copy.Kionon wrote: 1) deinterlace
