Re-airing of MTV's 1st 24 hours

On August 1st at 12 AM, VH1 Classic will be re-airing MTV's very first 24 hours in honor of MTV's 25th anniversary. This should be interesting, since I wasn't around when MTV first came into existance, and I'm planning to tape at least the first 6 hours.

I wish MTV would go back to the way they were when they started, because MTV stands for

MUSIC
TELE-
VISION

Not that crap that they show these days. Anyway, only 10 minutes left until the big moment!!!!!!

MTV bought them and removed them from competition. That's why all they do now is Behind The Music, I Love The X0s, Top Ten Lists, and Surreal Life.

There's an MTV Overdrive playlist on MTV.com that's made to replicate MTV's entire first hour. They even have the commercials that were aired at that exact time. It's kinda cool.
