People must really not care anymore. It seems like the only thing that matters is simply making the AMV, bashing other's people's stuff, rinse, wash, repeat.

I say, don't try and make vids to try and be #1...if you do that you're never going to have fun or enjoy yourself.

If you get a good idea, refine it, think hard, get the best clips you can, take your time, and who knows...you might do it and have fun doing it too.

Yeah its about like people who steal movies and claim them in hopes of getting attention, what is the point in that, why make a movie that your not really into or use music that your not into because you think it will be popular, I know it is fun to get positive feed but you know in yourself if your movie is good or not, and if your happy with it, that is all that really matters, I don't hate someone because they are popular, but I am not going to try to be like someone just because they are popular either, I do my own thing, and try to bring out the feeling that I want my movie to have, not what I think other people want to see

when i showed this to koop, he asked me why i was showing him a thread from years ago :/ and I pointed out that it was made recently :/

this topic has been beaten to death about 100000000X over and thats why most of the locals just really dont give a rats ass...

it "can be done" sure, but if you make that your goal then it will only show through in your work that you are an attention whore....

best thing to do is create things you like, enjoy them, and maybe other people will like your creations too... listen to those who give you con crit to an extent, and learn some timing O.o

the truth is when Koop made that vid he didnt think it was going to get that kind of reaction, he didnt know... he was just making what he wanted to make, and whole lot of people liked it... and back then in the a long time ago days, they didnt have stars or QCs so the only way to leave feedback of any kind was to op it...

in truth what the 10% chart comes down to is this: make something that alot of people like and are willing to leave alot of opinions on, and maybe you can get on the list...

(is it bad of me to want my vid to drop OFF the 10% list?)

I, and I believe many other regulars, find the top ten percent to be about as useless as cquick comments and star averages. If I make a video that ends up on the top ten, I'll need to reevaluate what I did, because nowadays the top ten lists seem to indicate catering to the lowest common denominator. Not saying you or koop did that ( I don't think ti was your intention), and yet for some reason people you never made the video for end up touting it as the greatest thing ever.

I don't know what's good anymore. I was on the tube and videos with subtitles.. bad cuts/fads bad timing get like 5 perfect stars and get replies like ... "OMG that was teh best eva XD"

then on this site the opinion thing is not accurate to what is and what isn't good. 80 percent of people that leave reviews is to videos they love, people don't just go around critiquing each others work.. if that was the case and people downloaded random videos from the "new videos" section then the op average will be a lot lower. If you want a lot hype around your work.. put your stuff on the tube and people would lick your toes if they could. It's quite sad actually.

OK that was a bit off topic.. anyways my off topic point is man you can't be trusting peoples reviews here or on the lousy tube.(just avoiding making a topic about this shit by posting here roflomgwtfbbq)
