Slower rendering, processing and compression, not slower editing. I edit the majority of my videos in a few days to a week.

Sys Specs: Pentium 2, 348 MHz, 512 RAM. And up until 3 months ago i was on 512. Never had a problem with the speed at which my editing progmrams responded to my actions, the only slow speeds came from the actual rendering and compression, which aren't even that bad anyway (depending).

Having a faster machine does help when creating previews and when scrubbing for clips. Especially when you drop entire episodes on the timeline to chop up for footage. Of course, if you don't edit this way, it doesn't apply to you.

But see, I hold up Prodigi as evidence that machine specs mean nothing. As long as you don't mind the waiting for rendering and encoding, you CAN do your editing on a machine that just meets the software's minimum specs.

not with the amount of lag i have, i don't even bother looking in the preview window cuz it's prob like 2 seconds behind, all i can go by is by placing my cursor on the points to see what's happening then cutting it and rendering it, THEN i can see if it worked it not ...way too much work -_- plus when it comes to editing, i tend to get shot on paitence (sp?)

I get all of my hardware from newegg. It's less of a bother, the shipping is lightning fast, and i don't have to even think about the legitimacy of the seller, the condition of the product, or any warrienties.

I found some dvds to fill out series on ebay, one I couldn't find in the stores. None of the ones I bought were bootleg, just good used dvds. I have also picked up some hardware from ebay. Checking the sellers feedback helps.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Nope, every DVD I own is official R1 releases. I always make sure it's the official release before I buy it, and I never buy if there isn't an actual photo of the item provided.

Windows XP has been running 4days 5hrs 24mins Memory Usage: 349/384MB (90.89%) Processor: 1-Intel Pentium III (Cu), 930MHz, 256KB (9% Load) HDD Free Space: (9C: 1410MB/19.15GB) (D: 5296MB/111.76GB) (E: CDROM) (F: 172636MB/233.76GB) (Z: CDROM)
