does ebay fuel amvs? 0-0;
I was just on Ebay and got 1 gig of ram for my compter (for 70 bucks :O), and i realized the last thing i bought on ebay was a 1 gig chip for my PSP so i could watch AMVs on it. That got me thinking: i wonder what everyone else has got off ebay that invloves amvs? This includes box sets for sources, comp parts etc. Maybe ebay is more popular then going to the store for us.
Any thoughts or purchases to brag about? ( ....70 bucks!!) lol

maybe hee was hoping it might improve his editing skill. That's all i can take from that poorly constructed paragraph of his.Niotex wrote:Its not like your gonna need the xtra ram anyway =| I mean seriously... You dont need that shit.
On that note: It's not the machine that makes the editor, it's the editor that makes the machine.

unless your on a P3 533 mhz with 256 megs of ram and a 32 mb video card you'll manage every video on here just fine. Nobody is instane enough to release a 1080pi H264 video anway seeing as that would take a monster of its own to render and encode. Anyway the specs I just posted should be enough for a 480pi H264 encode and maybe even 720pi. Wich would actualy be kinda stupid to release since most of that stuff is upscaled anyway. Either way lets keep this shit ontopic before this shit gets locked for making a perfectly good statement.Lyrs wrote:With these new h260 codecs and the increased detail + resolution, it's getting to the point where you do actually need quite a bit of power to play the amvs fluidly.
p.s.
You learn shit by just reading what Zero1 types. Its kinda handy and stuff. =|

I agree with both your statement completely. Only reason you'll need a monster rig is if your going to do insane compositions. Wich are also very doable with lets say 512 ram. For instance Decoy our good friend has bin working on 512 ram and has produces compositions that have set the bar for FX higher on this site. Now If we are going to talk about how long it took to render? Thats a story of its own.Prodigi wrote:maybe hee was hoping it might improve his editing skill. Either way... Its a waste of your money guy =|

I'm not saying the 1 gig will help me be better, but it will help some things because i only have 256 and i lag A LOT when i edit, so this might help with my internal synch issue i have along with a few others.
if u don't like my vids, don't watch them, simple as that, and stop bothering me in my threads. it's starting to get annoying.
