My first vids i saw:
Mexican junior- Asukas last stand
Kusoyaro- They did it for the nookie
NeoGohan- i saw most of his vids all at the same time ..
and a few crappy wmm projects i won't even bother remembering the names to.
As we all know, MJ and Kusoyaro still kick ass, so yes i still like them. But i don't like those crappy wmm vids i started out watching ...bleh, terrible stuff, DAMN U KAZAA!

Back when you saw your FIRST AMV, I'm sure that with most of you, you had lower tastes back then, do you still like that AMV, or do you even remember it? Or do you even still like the old AMVs you used to watch a long time ago?
The first AMV I ever saw was Akiraa's "I like who I am" an Android 17 tribute set to "Dammit" by Blink 182. I don't hate that AMV, but it's definately not one of my favorites. I remember watching a lot of DBZ vids, a lot were from Akiraa, and while he vids aren't perfect, when I watch them now I still find them "decent". But I used to watch Linkin Park vids...I must admit that they suck to me now, and I wonder "Why didn't I notice the crappy quality back then?"
But, I still like the old AMVs I used to watch more or less, but there are some I hate now.
What about you?
hellzzz no that shit sucked

It's weird, I still have some of the AMVs I thought were "amazing" when I first found AMVs. Now, I rarely watch them. But just having them and remembering how great I *thought* they were at the time makes me happy. I can just look at the title and be like "oh, I thought that was so funny, I must have watched it 50 times." But if I do watch one, all I can think is "BAD QUALITY!!! PIXELATION!!! GAHH, SUBS!!!" (this was back in the days when most people had slow dial-up modems and couldn't get downloadable eps, so subs weren't as prevelant. But, I digress....) I still keep those old AMVs because I remember liking them at one point. It'd be like throwing away a piece of the past.
I can be horribly nostalgic sometimes.

Yeah, the AMV thesis....that was me.

The first AMV I ever saw was somehting from Meri in realmedia format. After that, I moved onto AtomX.faaip_de_oiad wrote:My first AMV was Kamoc's "THISISTHERIGHTHOLE".
So i got kinda ripped off, So most of what i saw after that just didn't really impress me that much. I was very spoiled.
You got ripped off? What about me being shoved with hellagood videos at first glance and then expecting all the other AMVs to be like that?
I don't know what I'm saying though, because I'm obviously fine with it being wmv format and having subtitles. XD

sometimes when vids are good and have subs, i want to remaster them and crop off the subs and send it to the creator and tell them to replace the video... but if i did that for every vid with subs that i thought had decent editing then i would be working all day on that instead of making my own vids...

There is this one video that I still watch (considering that I'm still new to the forums) that I think "Why did I think that was awesome?", but I still watch it. It wasn't from the org, but it was a Chobits AMV with the song "I Can't help falling in love with you". I still love the sight and sound of it, and it is constantly playing on my Winamp player. It's old, ugly, and low quality, but I still like it!! I guess we all have different tastes.
