That's better.

I've been using VLC for almost a year by now. Love it. I still use WMP for playing wmv and wma though (seems to work better). I also used to have a problem playing wavs in VLC but that was a couple reinstallations of windows ago. :)

You want a program that looks like it came out of Windows 98? How about Media Player Classic? :wink:

I use MPC more than VLC because I like the interface a bit better and if you install the correct codecs and filters on your system, it can play back more files properly than VLC can. I've had issues with VLC not playing back soft-subbed .mkv anime with the correct font and formatting, although it is usually the player I select when watching .mkv files.

not sure why but i got midi playback trouble with vlc :?

VCL Media Player is godly. It plays everything for me properly.

ffdshow (the latest build not the shit 4 year old one on sourceforge) + mplayerc > vlc. If your a windows user anyway.
