Official Archon Website: http://www.archonstl.org

The Archon 30 AMV Contest will hopefully be even better and packed with the same cool prizes as last year. (Just ask any of the lucky winners from last time, they'll tell ya. ;) )

This year, it will be on Friday, October 6th, tentatively at Noon again, in the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville, Illinois.

Judging this time will be pre-judging, meaning that the winners will be known, but not disclosed, before the contest. The contest will be an exhibition of the winners and honorable mentions of each category.

I'll enter again this year. I have a few questions though...

1. Would it be possible to enter with a matroska container?
I have a video for comedy that uses japanese audio, so I included soft subs in the container. But the encode is in xvid. I might even be able to upload a huff version as well in an mkv file. but the subs are needed to fully enjoy the video.

2. Can I email or pm my video linked from my server?
It would be easier than sending through mail for myself.

3. My video has an intro bumper that is my studio name. But, it's done in the fashion of School Rumble. So if I take it out, it's not as much of a parody. Is it possiible to keep that in?

Thanks
Brian

Yes, Final Fantasy is allowed.

I do not have an FTP server, so I don't see the FTP thing happening.

SKY:
1. Sure, I'll take the MKV.
2. Sure, if you have it uploaded somewhere, that works fine.
3. No, you need to re-encode a version of your video with no identifying marks or bumpers. The contest is going to have uniform bumpers for all videos.

And one final thing - DivX logos getting hard-encoded into your video is bad. We won't be accepting any videos with a hard-encoded DivX logo. It fits in with the "no logos" rule. Keep this in mind.
