Is it really any worse than being a Texan? :p You just don't get out enough to consider it your home down. It's the whoel school thing that drags you down.

You wouldn't believe how badly I miss the town, the food and the people :(. I hope to visit some time soon and if things go well even Intern at IBM or Intel this Spring. Then again, Seattle looks nice too ;).

I dunno about that. Austin >>> Madison. I will admit Madisonites know how to drink and can certainly brew some nice beer (local no less), but it's f'ing cold in the winter and well...did I mention I'm a Chicago Bears fan (i.e. Packers can suck my balls!). I feel like I'm in enemy territory or something.

I've only been away from Austin for two months, and I am homesick. |:

Okay the football thing is fair enough. Yes I forgot about you being a bears fan. Thatr means there's at least 2 people in thestate who are not cheering the Packers. (Bears fan myself through thick and thin and even Kyle Orton)

But the good booze has to give the town some points. And you get used to the cold, and unlike Texans we learn how to drive through the damn snow ;)

If you want to see bad, come visit my school. It ain't all that far and you can see how it is dealing with small town Wisconsin kids and small town bars.

And we're into our final week for the Pro contest!

(Sorry, shoulda posted this yesterday.)

Everyone please note that it may take a day for your FTP to be approved (we have to do that bit by hand) and may take a little longer as we approach the end, so we don't overload the bandwidth. So long as we get your request by the deadline, it's all good.

I cannot find a spot in the rules that pertain to this, so...

I've screened a video at a few cons recently that I think I would like to enter, so I am wondering if there is a rule pertaining to having submitted a video to another contest, and having won an award, that would DQ it from the PRO competition...

I sent my video in today...abit later then I wanted. So now I cross my fingers and hope they arrive in time. I'm REALLY excited by the contest this year because when the 'guessing' starts for who made what video... I don't think people will be able to guess that it's mine.

I believe there is not. Simply follow the given rules. As it is, many of the pro entrants know eachother personally and may already be familiar with projects they are working on regardless.

There are only 3 real ways to get disqualified.

1: don't follow submission instructions, technical or otherwise
2: don't make the deadline
3: blatant plagiarism
