Ugh, and upon further investigation, I just found a video on the-tube-that-shall-not-be-named that was listed as "A Kare Kano Mix with DDR 4th mix!! Para² Version!! Had the Idea from LostBoy!!This is my version!!!"
Yeah, the idea from Lostboy AND about 12 seconds of the video itself!! Outright ripped off 12 seconds of my Karekano DDR Dam Dariram video passing it off as her/his own editing. Considering the whole video is only 1:09 in length, that means 1/6th of it is mine. And I made that clear in a comment on the video there: "Hey now... I don't mind you making your own video inspired by mine, but you USED SOME OF MY EDITING. It's not right to be passing off someone else's editing within your own as if it's your editing." The section ripped off from me was of course the most complex segment of editing in their video.
Without my bit in there, it's just a bunch of straight cuts, simple dissolves, and two cheesy heart- and cross-shaped wipes.That site IS rather evil, isn't it? It takes the videos away from people who will know what deserves to be panned. That video, if posted here, would very likely not be getting the 4½ stars and praise it's getting there. It would get barks of dissent from people who know it's a ripoff.
