Thankyou very much. I was wondering why I haven't seen any new Hunter x Hunter lately...now it all makes sense. Thanks again.

GI Final (OVA 3) has 14 episodes, not 13.

I agree that the voice actors are a little weird, but after you get used to it, Hisoka's fits like a glove. My blood boils to hear his moans of pleasure when seeing someone strong (okay that sentence came out weird, just ignore it)

I've recently finished the show and I can't help but think that HxH is everything that Naruto tried to be and failed monumentally:

Hunter shiken: a series of intelligent challenges to test various skills
Chuunin shiken: a cheerio's annual prize race

Kurapika: Overpowered genious with red eyes that wants to avenge his clan
Sasuke: boohoo, aniki killed my mommy

Nen training: Actual training
Chakra training: clapping your hands
And God spoke unto the Chicken, and He said: "Thou shalt crosseth the road", and the Chicken did cross the road, and there was much rejoicing.

Here, here 8-)

The only thing that bothered me was how the Greed Island OVA's were animated. I can't say for sure why, but I just prefer the original style. Either way, I enjoyed the series from beginning to end - I'd love to see it licensed someday.

I'd also love to see some decent HxH AMVs...

I'll second that.

I'll third that.

The animation did seem a little worse. On the other hand, I think the character design for G.I. is better than the rest. The lines are thicker or whatever, but it looks a lot better.

yea it's kinda comical to see how much naruto copied from hunter x hunter and still they failed in every round. but one thing you forgot to mention was how they tried to copy a similar group like the spiders with the akutsuki. however there are still more similarities but i'm not going through everything as obvious it seems.

True, I forgot that. There's many more, especially if you don't keep to the anime and read both mangas.

It's the difference between a good mangaka and a bad one. Naruto copied ideas that worked, and even though it's a success in terms of marketing, it doesn't get to lick the boots of HxH's masterful storyline.

I'm going to completely agree right here. Hisoka has a great VA, and he sounds amazing. Hisoka is one of the coolest characters. I would love for some reason there to be a reason he and Kurapica fight again, since Kurapica can now use Nen, as opposed to during the Hunter Shiken when he couldn't.
