I don't get this!? Aspect Ratio problems (pics included)

I have akira set to 852x480 in AviSynth and 852x480 in Vegas 6.0 yet I still get black borders when viewed in Vegas even when I change the Pixel Aspect Ratio. Here are two examples and please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. Thanks! ^_^

OK.. I'm not having this problem with akira.. (spent a second and jumped to a conclusion) but I have had this problem with the movie "Tree of Palm".. I think by changing the pixel aspect ratio though I can fix it.. I'll check and report back..

yes the settings for pixel aspect was causing the problem. Don't think I'll have this problem again.. please ignore this topic.. lock or whatever.

it wouldn't compress in lagarith.. but I fixed it.. changed the aspect ratio to 720x400 so it's in mode 16.. just thought I'd point that out.. so it's fixed so no need to point out the odd aspect ratio

if you wanted it to be mod 16 you should make it 848x480

That's sweet! ^_^ Thanks for the suggestion... it's only off by 3 instead of 5 that way.. I hope lagarith works right though.. checking that now to see if it compresses.
