Recommend a Program and answer my other question, please.

Post by Ryo Destined » Thu Jul 06, 2006 6:25 pm

Hi, I'm relatively new at making AMV's and i was wondering if someone could recommend to me a movie editor/maker prog? Right now I'm using windows movie maker, but it's quite limited on special effects. Oh, and recommend a program that can play many different types of movie files. My second request is if someone could tell me how you would go about removing subtitles on a movie file? Thank you.

VirtualDub and AviSynth, if you're willing to learn. Otherwise, there's a sticky in the Video Software forum with a lot of software and its price and level.

Buy the DVDs. Otherwise, if they're hardsubbed, then you have some options. Crop them, use an unsubbed frame if the background is static, or use an image editor to get rid of them frame-by-frame.

Special effects dont mean jack in an amv (well, not as much as people think). If you got decent lyric and rhythm sync, your AMV might just turn out decent.
