using huffy encoding but no mp3?

this may seem stupid but i am rendering my amv in huffy then to VDUB it to divx but i cant seem to compress the audio at any point? every time i use vegas to encode to huffy with lame mp3 or mpeg3 layer it crashes?

can anyone help?

i get that problem too but encoding audio in video editing programs is not a good idea.

when u compress the vid in vdub, u can also compress the audio. just go to stream>stream list>then right click on the audio file(s)>full processing mode. right click the audio again> compression> look for lame mp3 and choose the bitrate.
