Running Physical AMV Contests - General Info

Post by dokool » Mon Jul 03, 2006 11:40 am

Seems like this is a stickied thread in the making (seeing as the 'running online AMV contests' thread has been up forever), but I have a couple technical questions.

1. What do you guys use to master/author DVDs for contests?

2. What do people generally do when they're running the contest off of a computer?

Llamacon was a learning experience - despite converting everything to MPEG2s with what I thought were the same specs, Encore didn't appriciate these files and would never actually let me author the DVD, so in the end we had to run everything off of a laptop. Naturally I'd like to fix this for next year, so I'd appriciate perspectives on the technical side of contests so I can get things right.
