Synchs in Premiere, not anywhere else

Post by DriftRoot » Tue Jun 27, 2006 1:56 pm

This problem is one that really has me worried. I've edited a nice chunk of stuff in Premiere and decided to test out what I had by exporting it and playing it back in various players. Not only does my audio/video not synch up when played outside of Premiere, it it out of synch in different ways depending on which player I use (WMP, VLC, Realplayer, Quicktime etc.). VLC gets me the best results, but my oh-so-carefully timed AMV still looks off. Any ideas on how to fix this?

are you sure every player gives you different sync.
I would suggest with premiere that you alway Export the video and the music seperatley then recombine in vdub.

Oh yes, I'm sure. It's particularly bad with WMP. All these differences give me hope that it's a problem with the player and the file, not Premiere/my synching efforts. I'll try exporting seperately and see how that goes.

when you export the project, and then a pop-up window opens in Premier and you can play the outputted file, does that too appear out of synch?
