No match for "HOSATCHEL.COM".

Someone register that as a redirect. It'd be hilarious.

If people see hosatchel where they meant to write something else, then they already know what that something else is.

How does that bring more attention to yuutube? It seems to me that it only brings attention to the issues surrounding yuutube, not that site itself.

Well, I've seen a number of threads asking about why you cant say You.Tube. In fact, there's almost constantly a thread going on about You.Tube. Why? Because of the word filter. If there was no word filter, there would be nothing to talk about.

The threads about the issues surrounding That Site are abundant because of the filter. The threads are popular because people see what they type being changed and post asking why it was changed. You're right. It's not the change that's drawing attention, it's the threads created because of the change. But you know, if not for the change, the threads wouldn't be there to draw attention. So I blame the change.

New members read a thread about a site called hosatchel (sp?) and want to know what is so special about That Site. They type it into google and get nothing. They post in the thread asking what it is. No one is allowed to explain what it is because the only answer is "hosatchel is what you get when you type hosatchel." This makes the issue even weirder, mysterious, and clearly important enough for mods to make sure the secret is not revealed by people who spell That Site with a letter or two off. Clearly That Site is worth knowing if this site is going to such lengths to keep it a secret among those who understand the 'joke' of the word change.

I don't see the need for a word change. Just warn those who post links to That Site the way you'd warn anyone who posted links to sites with downloadable fansubs. Changing the name doesn't stop us from talking about and recognizing That Site here. In fact, it makes it easier to talk about a site this site shouldn't even be associating itself with. We might as well pick a real fansubbing website, change the url to some funny word-replacement, and start threads talking about it on the forum. We don't talk about any other fansub-distribution website the way we do about hosatchel, let alone make it convenient to talk about it by renaming it something 'safe' and misleading. We delete and lock posts mentioning the bad site and warn the members not to mention sites that break our rules. I honestly don't see why That Site is being treated so differently.

If That Site is to be considered as bad as any other site you can get downloadable anime from, then blacklist it. If people post wanting to know why, refer them to the forum rules and lock the thread.

I've always wanted to see what this "hosatchel" is, since I keep hearing about it. So I typed www dot hosatchel dot com and that screen popped up. notice it's hosatchel, not filtered hosatchel. I figured out what hosatchel really was when I googled it and this thread popped up. Oh yea, it's brought to you by some kinda ad ware I'm currently tyrna get rid of that goes to searchportal dot information dot com. And from the looks of it, it's a pretty nasty one since I don't like Naruto.
