I made a vid using X and X-2. I followed the guide and changed them to vobs, and my program read them. After i finished it the final product was 200 some MB with no loss of quality as an mpg.

So in virtual dub mod, how should i compress it to keep as much of the quality as i can?

You can encode with LAME mp3 audio using the ACM codec for LAME
