Opinion viewing needs pages..

Post by Flame-X » Wed May 24, 2006 9:01 pm

LOL oh man... My internet explorer crashed when I access Euphoria's opinions. With 1000+ opinions, it tooke a while to load the site. I recommend opinion section needs pages so it won't freeze/crash.

Well, IE is your first problem... However, the idea isn't that bad.

The problem is both IE, you not wanting to wait, and Euphoria being so popular. The number of videos with such a large number of ops is microscopic.

Now take into account how many hits the pages for those extreamly popular videos recive and how many users are getting screwed as a result just because they wanted to see the ops.

Maybe we could get a "view all opinions" button. That way when you open the page you only see the first ten or so ops, the most recent 10. I'd wager even creators would like an option like that.

Or, from the reviewer's standpoint, why not make it so you can edit your opinion and read the creator's response without having to scroll past all the reviews left by other people? There's no need to read all the ops if all you want is to find your own review and edit it.

Use Opera. www.opera.com

It worked nicely for insanely large webpages when I was on dial-up.
