why were so many people online on Jan 25th 2005?

You mean the 24th, right?

I believe that was during last year's VCA voting process where there were a chock full of overrated Naruto and FMA videos sweaping the catagories which could be the reason why there were many users.

what was going on the 25th if the date is Mon Jan 24, 2005 6:47 pm. Wasn't there a RIAA scare for... somebodies site getting shut down or something?

That could've been when Wind Up Records (I think) asked for the site to pull all Creed/Evanescense/Seether vids. As I recall that day had a hell of a lot of users on.
