I'd be interested to see how 4:3 is presented.

If they add side borders, imagine how that would look on a 4:3 monitor

That was seen with the fansub of episode 1 of The Meloncholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya. The series is 16:9 but in episode one it was mostly showing a home movie made by the characters that was 4:3 So the fansub was mostly 4:3 letterboxed at the sides. It wasn't cropped because at the end it switched back to showing the 'real world' and the characters were in 16:9 complaining about how bad the movie was. So when we showed it on a 4:3 data projector it was sorta... Framed.
