Normally referred to as either AMV editors or AMV creators.
ReligionX wrote:Second, do people who make AMVs ever meet anywhere? I'd like to meet some people who make videos, and say, "hey, nice video. How did you do that?"
Typically most of us have become friends online and then meet up at conventions, but also many of us just meet at cons or in real life or basically however you'd meet anybody else you eventually become acquaintances with.
ReligionX wrote:Third, how do AMV studios get made? Are they really a group of people, or just one person calling him or herself a studio? And if there are real groups of people who make AMVs, how do they work, and can I join one?
Studios can oftentimes be just one person who also uses a "studio name" but only as a formality (me for example, will sometimes use "AtomX Productions" as my "studio name." However, it's also not uncommon for several people to be a part of a group studio, who all release videos under a common group name (examples include Random Destination Studios, More Than Toast, Hypeodermic Studios, Visualized Nightmare Studios, Blood Sugar Productions, and many more). As for joining one, typically there's no sort of formal "joining" process. It's just a group of friends. There's usually no real tight infrastructure or "activities" so trying to join one in which you don't really know the people isn't too advantageous.
