Unorthodox Influences

As for me, there are a lot of possibilities to get a cooncept.

1: By listening to the song and doing what the lyrics tell

2: Talking about possible concepts with others

3: My mind is even wicked enough without drugs, so a lot of concepts come therefrom.

me ill be just watching an anime and think hey mabey I could fit this anime with this song or listen to a song and think hey mabey I can fit this song with this anime

When im walking somewhere with music on just walking and looking up to the high buildings i pass every day when i step out of the train crossing the walk bridge and such. mostly friends fuck up my buzz though when im aparently stairing at the sky or something they just punch me and i snap out of my thing. I can get realy cranky and irritated when that happens >:\

For instance I was listening to some crystal methode some time ago and as the song started i got off my seat (Matrix theme) and i stel out of the train and go up the escalator all nice and such but durring that time i had a insane idea with what i wanted to create with that thing is i never did it cause of the overused song and the consept propperbly isnt original enough for me to stand out with it...

I have allot of those moments in my daily life and i think that only the creative mind can cook up something if it is in a drugged state of just a state of absense from the host itself... dos that make any sense?

Holy hell, sometimes, I just love it when I've got some music blaring out my earphones and right at that particular bit I do something that is so cliched, something so befitting the music then like something from a movie and I end up, I guess in a sense, living that moment out of the reality around me. I'm not exactly high or anything, but for those moments, if the mood demanded it, the scenes I see all around me might be in slow motion, or out of focus... or whatever else... and usually there's a woman in the red dress walking past me there

I guess sometimes, I could relate making AMVs to some connection to my wanting my life to have some soundtrack... wow, that's such a trippy idea

a soundtrack of ones life would be awesome but the problem remains that it would be to complex to compose

mind you the music you listen to can be called the soundtrack of your life not to mention that your "buzz" can be called your music video if at that state =O

A lot of the "unorthodox" influences for my video editing are really what people should pay more attention to - just basic observations, observations of life/nature/people etc. A number of things I tried in my videos were influenced by moods/visuals/senses from my practice of "aimless wandering", walking around streets, woods, lakes and so on. A number of others I thought as sort of reflective of various senses/experiences.

I'm not a big fan of substances. In fact, I rather like to scowl at them. I get more than enough interesting visuals and senses from real life to have plenty to work with artistically.

I got the idea for a recent effect from some Latvian graffiti.
Though I've also seen something similar in recent game videos.
