I seem to have run into a problem

I'm new to making AMVs and would like to. I've been able to find out a few things by myself and helpful sites, however. One says you need to right-click *Clicking right mouse button* and then click 'mute' to mute the audio on a clip...

That is where my problem starts. I've downloaded WMM 2.0 or closer and I've added a few test clips and tried to mute them for music and...I can't. I don't get the option when right-clicking on the clip,

and it is greyed out under the Clip>Audio. Even the fade in/out options are greyed out.

How do I mute clips then?

maybe you have to left click the clip that you want to mute first, then right click to bring up the options...

I don't use WMM (in fact if you have about $50-$100 that you can spend I'd suggest getting another program like Magix or Ulead. WMM is known to have issues with working after a while) but it seems like a reasonable thing to try

If I had more than 16 minutes before class I'd try it myself.

There is also a way to mute clips in VirtualDub(/Mod) [I'd suggest getting VDubMod] so if this other idea doesn't work you can try this one (details to come if needed)

What Kariudo said sounds about right, make sure that clip is selected. You can also adjust the Audio Levels through the tools menu, (there's also a button next to the Microphone button). Just move the slider to the right to mute the videos audio. Good luck.
