Frustrating..I know, but I need AMV help!!

Post by Plumz » Wed May 03, 2006 6:15 pm

Okay so I'm interested in making some AMVs and in case you haven't noticed... I'm a newbie. I've read (skimmed) all the AMV guides and tutorials on how to make one, but what I specifically need to know is how to transfer original DVD footage to a format (don't know which format) that can be edited using Sony Vegas Movie Studio.

I've gone through most of the steps from the guides and installed all these programs (dvd decrypter, dvd shrink, avisynth, decomb...blah blah blah). I still have NO clue how to add the dvd footage on my Sony Vegas program and edit.

Key items I have:
Music
Original DVDs
DVD Decrypter
DVD Shrink
Sony Vegas Movie Studio 4.0

So all I need to know is what format I need to change to, from the original DVD in order to edit the footage on Sony Vegas, and if there are other essential programs I need to install. And please don't give the links to the guides because it's extremely confusing. A simple, friendly step by step process on what the program is called and what it does would be great!!

:?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

There's this thing called a learning curve. You need to be willing to do a little learning to get what you want. If everybody spoonfeeds you information, you don't learn anything.

Start again here and see if you can't figure it out for yourself.

These forums are for asking spicific questions. The guides are here to provide an answer to broad and sweeping questions and to teach. You'll get out of the process what you put into it in terms of effort.
