don't you just hate it when you spend hours and hours of work on one amv only to realise after leaving it alone for a few weeks its total crap?

I've been working on an amv since late Feb now and I put it down for a few weeks for vacation time. I just loaded up the project up to rewatch it and to restart my tinkering.... only to realise the entire thing is utter garbage. I know I can do so much better than what I churned out with that project but rather than go back and restart it.. I find myself wanting to just do something fresh. After all.. there are enough emotastic Evangelion videos without mine adding to it.

its just such an easy concept to do when it comes to Evangelion... and being a newbie I sadly fell into the emo trap.

I didn't realise just how depressing the series actually is until it took me 5 days to find a 3 second clip of Shinji smiling.

that's why it's always good to get other people to beta your vids before you post them, who knows, maybe your just being to harsh on yourself. I always hate my vids when i'm done with them anyways because it takes me so long to make them (i'm never listening to rammstein again!) and i get sick of watching the vid over and over and listening to the same song.
But u were right to take a little vacation time, it helps clear your head and give you knew ideas.

well, I started watching it and it BORED me. A lot. I was glad when it was finished to be honest. The one video I've made that I'm reasonably happy with is "Dead Meat" on my Dazed Dreams site. The amv I was working on just.. bored me to tears c.c

oh well, at least I learnt some nifty stuff with avisynth, vdub and premiere with it.

but for the most part i have made videos to entertain me... so if someone else enjoies it then cool, if not then oh well..

Have that a lot, and hate it a lot, as well... Sometimes though, I have the opposite, and open an old project, and will be like... Why owh why didn't I finish this?
