It should because its still the MP4 format. Then again maybe not because I have a PSP and an ipod and my psp has a format called PSP mp4 and that dosen't work on the ipod.RamonesFan2020204 wrote:I got another question:
In Xilisoft or the other program:If you have the profile option set as iPod(30G) MPEG-4 Movie (*.mp4), will it still work on the 60G one?

I have a PSP too. yea, when it encodes the MP4 it does it in a different way, also the MP4 for a PSP must be named in a certain way.amvwizard wrote:It should because its still the MP4 format. Hmm..... Does ANYBODY know the facts? I'm leaning towards "Yes, it will work on a 60G", but I really need to make sure.amvwizard wrote:It should because its still the MP4 format. AFAIK, iPods have to use the same video profile, period. Which means that the only possible conflict is that the maximum bitrate allowed by said profile isn't meant for the 30GB (I severely doubt this, however). By extension, that means that anything that would work on a 30 would work on a 60. The 60 just has more hard drive space, to my knowledge anyway.RamonesFan2020204 wrote:Hmm..... I should probably also mention that Sharktooth provides many profiles for x264 along with MeGUI (Standard package), and one of those profiles is for the iPod. I don't the specifics though, and since I don't have an iPod video (or an iPod at all) I can't test it.Qyot27 wrote:AFAIK, iPods have to use the same video profile, period. iPod uses Baseline profile @ level 1.3, which imposes the limitations in my table. As for what options fall within Baseline, you will need to google for that because I am lazy
