A question
What gets More people to comment on AMV's.
I have noticed that some creators grab attention to their vids. While others practically have to threaten someone's dog to get any comments. I mean ignoring the ones who are begging to be noticed is okay.
Is the video format an issue or how the vid is created?
Is it they way a creator will announce their vid?
Debate that one

that's true i noticed it last nite when i posted in there with my new vid, it got little attention but other threads that where created round the same time got all sorts of attention XDBeowulf wrote:AMVs have become way to huge to download every thread that gets posted in the Announcments forum. People only download videos from editors they know are good or have heard are good from other people.
Name recognition helps a lot.

Sometimes what it takes is a few posts too. Not from yourself, or obvious sockpuppets either. If I see a creator I'm unfamiliar with, and I click on the post and see they tried to tell me a little about the video in semi-clear English (I can tell the difference between broken English due to language differences and broken English due to OMG i liek teh internet talk), AND I like the song/anime combo, AND I see a post or two from other people with favorable comments, then I might download the video. MIGHT.

Life's short.

friends, lots and lots of friends...
and teh almighty pimping... pimping and some more pimping
(just remember to only pimp once in each place, or else the natives get annoied)
also asking someone personally for a comment:
"Hi! Rina! would you give me an op on this vid? you will! awesome"
(note: it helps if you ask a friend O.o)
opinion exchange:
I'll opinion yours if you opinion mine
Actually, you know what? put this in your video desctiption, and DO it... actually give back opinions... I call them "automatic opinion exchanges".. trust me it works O.o
...
heh show me yours and ill show you... no wait O.o
some suggestions:
involve yuri/loli/sell out to your audience... *ahem* (yuri worked for some people I know O.o)
if people know you make good videos they are more than likely to download your videos, the more downloads usually means more comments... so namesake / brand often helps with this... as someone said already.
and dont be afraid to improve, or get suggestions on HOW to improve...
also keep in mind sometimes "artistic differences" may come up and not every comment you recieve may be glowing...
and above all:
