Sooooo I know it's against the rules to submit a remastered version of an existing AMV as a new video entry, but what if the new version contains some different footage than the original version?
I've just completed (finally x_x) a version 2.0 of my very first video, that I submitted here back in 2002. Some of the improvements are just the replacement of VHS fansub footage with clean DVD footage, but I've also removed some scenes and replaced them with entirely different ones. Can I submit this as a new entry (I'd really like to since it's so old and has been vastly improved) or do I have to just add the new version to the existing entry?
What I'm confused about is this blurb in the submission rules:
remaster - to recreate a video using the same video content but with different (usually cleaner) source material; the new video should have the exact same content, scene for scene. Example: Your video was originally created with VHS source. The DVDs for the anime used in your video have now been released. You can then create a remastered version of your video with the DVD source. The final video should look exactly like the original video, except with greater visual quality.
A lot of my video is the same as the old one, but a good chunk of it is completely different footage. Can I submit it as an entirely new entry? According to the above blurb it sounds like I can, but I want to make sure I won't be breaking any rules.
Revised version of an old AMV as a new entry? Or no?

I think the FAQ's shed a better light on this:
So what you made is a remake and should get a separate entry.I want to upload a better version of my video file, what do I do?
This is actually two separate issues: remasters and remakes.
A remaster is where you take an old video and redo it with better quality video/audio source (for instance if you were to replace a video made with poor quality footage with DVD footage). This kind of thing you should file a delete request for the original video FILE (not the database entry), and then replace.
A remake is where you go back to the same concept as an old video ofyours and redo it with different edits. So, if you use the same idea, but make a new video out of it, then that's a remake. This kind of thing you should create a new, separate database entry for.
