1: Is it useful to release/start another Metal-Mep this fast after the first one ever?

2: Is it good for rock, when just anybody, can send material with hardly any conditions?

I think not, since rock is special and shouldn't just be like amv-hell-3 where there were few good tracks and a whole bunch of nonsense. If he would start this under these conditions, there probably would be about 5 linkin Ball z kiddies joining. Do you want rock to be represented by just onirginal stupid as fuck action videos? I bet not, so please take my point into consideration. Another point is that he isn't really specific with what he allows as music. What would he do if I built a part to Marduk's "Panzerdivision"? would he deny me the access because it's black-metal, or is any kind of metal okay? These are my points. It was not my intention to insult here, all I wanted to say is, that this person gave the whole thing too few though in my opinion.

This vision he has is so grand as to encompass the very heart and soul of everything that is ROCK. Don't criticize this master for your shortcoming to be able see things on his level.

However, if you all managed to somehow bear witness to the magnificent testiment of HitokiriScythe's ideals, then this would truly be the greatest MEP in the history of editing. If it isn't, it would be because of YOUR and shortsightedness.

YOUR criticism is not appreciated. what i am trying to do here is not submit to the "normal" mep styles, to do something that isnt restrained by what people consider "norm".

so wait...i can throw anything together and it falls into the guidelines of your project as long as I use the bands you like and the anime you like? and then... WHY is dbz included in the list? At first I thought you were going for samurai themed MEP but...you killed that with the including of dbz... This whole thing sounds like it is just you asking people to make video for you so that you can specify what you want. Well... thats why we have the supersearch feature. use it. oh, and I agree with orwell about not using divx.

*agreed.
include more details. the first thing would probably a concept, if you don't want to have masses of random mediocre vids.
you could as well tell us the reason for the limited choice for anime and music since that merely covers a very small margin of metal/rock.
if there is a certain reason for us to encode in divX, tell us.

if you do these things, me and others may be interested.

Jannis Nätke alias -Good for Nothing-

Concept, is a samurai based Metal/Rock mep. i didnt realize i typed dbz in there at the time (sorry) and i havent heard of thos b4 thats why i chose divx. if you could send me a link to a better encoding program, please do so.

and random crap thrown together will be thrown out. perhaps i wasnt clear enough. if it is crappy, it will be tossed for something better.

to clear things up here, pm me or talk to me on aim for other bands. and sorry about the dbz part... i was watching it when i was typing so it kinda slipped... its a samurai themed mep, going to be back to back, not mixed. any metal/ rock band will be accepted (including j-rock if you want)

and i wont turn anyone down who would like to help.

there is no deadline since people have jobs and college/ school.

ok smart a**. try to be reasonal. does it really take you 134 years to make a vid? and i find Divx to be a good encoder, hence the comment. "if you can send me a link to a BETTER one"

Xvid has outperformed DivX for quite some time, this isn't a very recent thing.

-One of our own members lays it out in simple language for you

Also, you violate the Org membership rules.

Your DBZ video is listed under another username and NOT the one you posted this under.

As proof hereis the profile he uses for the DBZ video, whilst here is where he made this forum account he posted on.
Phade wrote:7. There shalt be only one catalog entry per video.
You also have two catelouge entries for it(here, and here) which isn't allowed.

Concerning me being a smart ass, yeah i'm giving you a hard time about it, but all my comments are to prove a point to you, yet you appear to miss it every time. You should try and write a detailed outline of what you want, list what the theme is, give it a deadline, explain WHY you are doing this and give some reason WHY people would want to join. Personally it sounds like you want people to make videos for you and you're going to just hook them all together and call it a MEP. If you look at a decent MEP you see that they have at least decent organization, yours is... nonexistant. Now, if you aren't banned for have multiple accounts then maybe you will be able to retry this with a plan.

It is still in violation of the rules no matter how you say it or what you call me.
Getting angry because someone pointed out you disobeying site rules isn't a good show of character, goodluck getting a MEP together now.

Two people using a single account? Something about that doesn't sound right. But I'll try to help. Since no one in their right mind is actually going to help you, try a different approach. Download crappy samurai video's, make sure they have the divx logo, and if it needs it edit out the songs and put in your favorites, then stick it all together and call it yours. Maybe compress it a few times so if its a half hour long it still fits in 100 mb limit, because they don't allow for more than that under any circumstances. Oh, and don't forget your friends name on it. Then give it a nice title, like.... Samurai 'Swordplay' Uncensored.

Okay, I shall try to give one (last) constructive comment to this.

Ask a mod or admin to lock this thread and think everything over more carefully, you should have a clear concept before starting something like this. Then you might open up a new thread, which ought to be MORE specific than this one. One condition every mep should have is free choice of anime, how could you do a "mep" if there are just 4 animes to choose and you may have 20 guys working on it? The outcome would be horrible. Also I think that th samurai theme is unworthy for metal, it is more than just saf-fighting-action-videos-material.

Take these advices into consideration, they probably will help you if you intend to do this.
