The site's first Digimon Savers AMV

Masaru's Breaking His Fighting Habit

I've been really disappointed with Digimon ever since season 3, so when season 5 came, I was happy to know that it would be completely different. Well, I was very impressed by the way the first episode turned out. So, I decided to make an AMV for it. It's also been a while since I made one.

In the series, Daemon Masaru loves to fight, he even gets into a fist fight with Agumon only about 3 minutes into the series. He's hot-headed like all of the other team leaders, but he's also a lot more mature, considering the fact that he's 18. So, I themed this video based around him and his personality. I didn't really want to use a Linkin Park song, and I realize that there are so many other possible choices, but in the end I decided to theme it to "Breaking the Habit". I tried desperately to synch the words with footage, and added some lip sync into the mix. Note that Masaru is the only character whom I attempted to lip sync with, so all of the other characters will be completely off. This was done, because the video was themed around him, so I decided to only lip sync him.

I hope you enjoy it!

Also, you'll be pleased to know that the footage is 100% raw footage, so no subtitles! :)

Its cool to see a Savers video, but the video itself was meh, ok. Big thing is a way overused song/group. Also, I saw no lip syncing at all, just random lip flaps to the lyrics. Plus the song and the footage didn't really match, thus a story was not told. I found it more fun to watch just to get a glimpse of Savers then watching for an amv. However, I think the problem is due to you are limited to only one or a few episodes right now. I'd wait for more of the story to unfold before you try to do a character profile of sorts.

Simply put, it was a sub-par video with good audio/visual quality. I'd say don't lip sync at all and wait for more episodes to be released. I'm not flaming, just giving conscructive critisism. Keep it up ^_^!

I agree with you entirely on waiting for more episodes. I definately will make another one after more episodes are realeased, I just felt like making one to the first episode. In a way, I did make it to give a glimpse of the series to others. Also, like I said before, I was rather hesitant to use a Linkin Park song. I tried to make a story with it, but like you saw, it's a little difficult with only the first episode out right now. I'm sure that other more experienced video creators could make a much better one. I'm currently looking into getting Vegas Video 6, perhaps then I can make better videos too. :)

Anyways, thanks for your imput. I didn't really expect to make that great of a video with the little footage available at the time. Also, my next video I don't intend to lip sync at all, I just needed something to add to this video for the time being.

One more thing, based on what you saw, any idea for a good song I could use for the series?
