which software should I use?

hi!!! First of all, I prey you all to ignore my mistakes, but I'm Italian, and I'm not very good at English. Anyway I've just discovered the world of Final Fantasy and I'd like to make my own AMV....which software do you use? is Windows Media Video good enough? Where can I get the Final Fantasy videos? I mean, I'm playing Final Fantasy X with my PS2, but I need the videos on my pc...can I find them somewhere? Thanks for the attention!!!
