go to someones profile, click a vide on their list, do down and find a button called "local", click it, then in the next page scroll down and click proceed, the dl should start the page after that. try the vid in my sig and see if it works.

You can read up on the guides listed HERE.

Then I recommend downloading the AMVapp linked in EADFAG. Since you are at the EADFAG section, you may as well read it through. Even though it gets down and dirty with the technical stuff, I still recommend it to newbies.

Or you can just open up your preferred video editing program and just whack away. After you get clips from the DVDs you own, of course.

Oh, just to add, here is a list of editing programs. Although you may want to start with Windows Movie Maker 2 if you are using Windows XP with SP2. It's simple and fairly easy to work with, good to start learning the basics with.

Im also a newbie here how do you get the anime footage to put in your AMV

usually, you get it from dvds.
you can get it from downloading the footage, but it is HIGHLY discouraged

I would also suggest looking at the guides mentioned above.

for the future, the violet text is very hard to read (light color + white/light blue background doesn't work out so well...and I'm not even old)
