I think that the Shrieking Rabbid Fangirls will be louder and with 2983 seats, in larger numbers
Screaming fangirls... why does that sound like something I've heard of before?

*deep breath*

One more week to go, right?

How long after the con can we expect to get wind of the results?

Good rule of thumb is to be patient. Remember that staff typically are among the last to leave, first to arrive and the most prone to catch con plague. And the most annoying thing for a contest coordinator is walking in the door and seeing email, aim messages and a thread dedicated to who won the contest.

well I wont have an intenet connection till Monday (and then possibly evenng as I have to reconnect my computer)

then i depends on how exhusted I am, at Sakura-Con I I am quite knows for staying up for days

(Personal record is Thursday Morning 6 am - Sunday Morning 3 am) at which point Security told me I can either go to my room and get 8 hours of sleep, or go home

Though I did do a friday 6 am till sunday night 10 PM run before

since then they have had staff higher than me making me sleep at least once a day (apparently my not sleeping is actually against convention bylaws regarding staff.... and I could actually incur strikes on my badge (3 strikes I get baned for life) which I honestly think is a bit much)

Remember kids, Sleep is for the week....... the WEEK after the Con

Congratulations to everyone that made the cut! And thanks to Dinger for an ever-improving and always great contest. This is the only contest I have successfully entered while being deployed. I've meant to enter others, but none have been as easy to work with as this one, and that means a lot. You've really overcome a lot of obstacles and gotten through with a quality product. Thanks again!

Thanks Rut, I do try and keep up with everyone to make it easy, the loss of the FTP hurt this year though, but I found other ways of online submission

The DVDs look good, and I have the Mpegs ready to go on an external Hard Drive if durring my sound test I cant get a good play from them

I am really nervous this year, Sakura-Con has never had an AMV Coordinator last more than 2 years, so to me this is the critical one

I think the biggest hurdle for me is the stage fright
we are going from a roughly 600-700 seat room to 1 that is nearly 30,000 square feet and seets 2,983 people, not including the Tech Staff who man the Mix Board

well I should finish packing, I leave for the con in just about 8 hours
