Not realizing that Adobe Premiere crashes FREQUENTLY and hence I spent about four hours working only to have it crash and loose all that progress.

Never made that mistake again.

Solution to adobe crashing: use vegas. I'v been using it for a year and it hasn't crashed once. Here's another one i remembered:
I have a electric massage chair, and it has to be plugged into the ony plug close enough: the same one i use for my comp. i was in the middle of a amv, about 1 hour into editing, my bro came into my room and asked if he could borrow something (i don't remember what) and instead of getting out of my chair ...i ROLLED my chair over to him to hand it to him. as u can guess, my chair as plugged in and it pulled the cord out of the wall. i nearly shit myself when i turned around in time to see my screen go blank and hear my computer did down. I hate my chair (in a relaxing sort or way).

I was doing the double pass for compression. Right after I finished the first one I deleted the original one thinking that the second pass was to be done on thenew version. Just so happens that the next sentence in the guide said that the second pass was to be done on the ORIGINAL not the first pass. :/ I had to waste a good 15 minutes redoing it. The compression STILL sucked anyway. :/

As I've said before, there was this one time I force FILM'd, decimated, and then utterly failed to assumeFPS(). 11.988 FPS video.
