Top 10% of what exactly?

A strange realization and subsequent question hit me today regarding the top 10% list. Now there are (as of last i checked) 86622 videos recorded in the a-m-v.org records and there are 334 spots on the top 10% list. Now, that would indicate that the list displays the top 0.4% (rounded).

Where does the term "10%" come from then?

I thought, "perhaps it's just the top 10% of the scorign system" (i.e. the scores of 9 and higher) but looking at the slow fall of the numbers near the end from vid to vid, it seems rather odd and unlikely that such a drop-off between the last score and 8.999999 would occur.

So, Is the top 10% list just a title, or does it actually mean something related to what it's title implies?

If I recall correctly, it's the top 10% of qualifying opinionated videos. Videos need at least 7, maybe 8 (think it's changed in the last year or so) ops to qualify for this list.

If someone else's got correct recent info, please feel free to correct.

Ah, yes well it's 10 now it seems. So that would mean only around 3340 of the 86600+ videos have more than 10 Ops. I guess that makes some sort of sence now.
