Mejika: Original Anime Project

Post by Katrina » Wed Mar 08, 2006 7:25 am

Hello everyone!

Well, the "Christian-themed AMV's" thing seemed to be a trend, so I guess this is me continuing it. A project began a few weeks ago on Christian Anime Alliance called Mejika. The aim is to create a short anime probably at about the teen/high school level involving Christian characters, aimed at a general audience.

The story is that a group of three aliens (or "interplanetary citizens" if you prefer the politically correct term) are visiting earth and attending an elite high school through an interplanetary exchange program. The main character, a girl named Corean, is surprised to discover that they believe in the Christian God.

We have the trailer/introductory episode planned out, but we are looking for people who would be willing to help animate. We have about three animators at this point, but because of the size of the project, we would like to get more involved. Since we have not hacked out any of the fine details for future episodes, there is a lot of creative room.

The character list can be found here:

The goal of the series is not to be "preachy." We'd like to create something that can be both funny at times and serious at others. If you're interested, please let me know, or you can contact Doe who is in charge of the project from her website: http://www.geocities.com/arphage
