Ipod Video Conversion

I've been saving up, and almost have enough to buy an Ipod Video. Before I do, I was wondering what would be the best converter to convert my .avi's/.vob's to .mp4 for my Ipod Video.

I searched forums and found: Videora iPod Converter. So I tryed that.

Heres the results:

I know it's not that bad... But I'm kinda picky.
It looks good none full screen (320x240) I dunno if it'd look like that on the ipod or not.

Anyway, what I'm really asking here, is there any other converter that's free/cheap that'll convert my files to a campitable format for ipod video and still look as good as it was, like very little quality loss.

a 320x240 vid will always look worse when you enlarge it. SO if its fine at that size its okay.
