Songs that I'm surprised haven't been used in AMVs...

There's a song by The Sweet called 'Action' which has been covered by Def Leppard - another song by them called 'Blockbuster'.
Elvis Costello song 'Pump it up', Blondie's '(I'm not)Living in the real world', Alice Cooper's 'Clones' - covered by Akira the Don.
Queen's 'I'm in love with my car' perhaps accompanied by Riding Bean & Initial D footage.
Rolly's song 'Samurai' that is the opening for The Daichis - Earth Defense Family I have been unable to procure this as the OST wasn't released in the US. In the same vein is KO Century Beast 2 opening theme.
Then there's all these peppy relevant (for comedy) tunes from Sparks -
'Decline and fall of me'
'Eaten by the monster of love'
'Sextown USA'
'Tips for teens'
'Wacky women'
'I like girls'
'Angst in my pants'
'Looks, looks, looks'
'Don't leave me alone with her'
and of course 'Pineapple'

Also surprised to see so little of Dokkoida?! used as source material - really well done animation throughout that series...

Queen's 'I'm in love with my car' perhaps accompanied by Riding Bean & Initial D footage.

I happen to be a huge fan of the late, great Link Wray, and he did some tunes that I think would be a perfect fit for Riding Bean or Initial D (or any other car-oriented anime):
Namely, his tunes "Jack the Ripper," "Deuces Wild," "Bo Diddley," "The Black Widow," "The Sweeper," and "Hang On" would make some terrific AMVs.

I have found one AMV using Def Leppard's cover of Sweet's 'Action' done to One Piece - the chorus is "everybody wants a piece of the action" after all.
I did forget to mention Joan Armatrading's "I love it when you call me names" and any songs by Tracy Bonham...
